The Navy Federal Credit Union direct deposit form featured below is used for standard pay. That is, for those banking with Navy Federal Credit Union who are not on Active Duty, involved in the military, DoD, a DFAS employee, or working for a government agency. The purpose of a direct deposit form is to receive funds directly into your savings or checking account. Prior to completing the document, it is worth consulting with your employer’s HR/payroll department to ensure that a secondary or alternate form isn’t required, or that the option of direct deposit of income is available at the company.

Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) is a very popular bank for military service members. NFCU has several types of checking accounts, and their Active Duty Checking account offers a variety of benefits including free checks, ATM rebates, and early crediting of military pay.
It is important to note that folks who use any other type of NFCU checking account do not have their military pay funds credited early. This includes eChecking, Campus Checking, EveryDay Checking, and Flagship Checking. Folks who use these accounts will get paid on the regular military payday.
For customers with an Active Duty Checking account, NFCU offers to credit military pay one business day prior to the actual military payday.
However, it is important to note that due to NFCU’s overnight crediting procedures, you can’t get a deposit on Monday morning. Therefore, if the regular military payday is on Tuesday, NFCU members with Active Duty Checking will have their pay posted overnight on the preceding Friday and available for use on the preceding Saturday. You’ll see this reflected in the calendars below.
The 2021 NFCU Active Duty Checking Pay Calendars
I have created three different versions. One is a list, one is a calendar in black and white, and one is a color calendar. For each option, you can either:
- Click on the image to make it larger, then save it to your computer, and print it.
- Save the PDF copy and print it.
- Save the word copy and print it.
Because of the way weekends and holidays work, every year has a couple of very long pay periods in it. They’re a lot easier to manage if you are prepared for them. If you get paid one business day early with NFCU, here are your long pay periods for 2021 :
March end-of-month pay period: Friday, 12 March to Wednesday, 31 March – 19 days
June end-of-month pay period: Saturday, 12 June to Wednesday, 30 June – 18 days
August end-of-month pay period: Thursday, 12 August to Tuesday, 31 August – 19 days
November end-of-month pay period: Thursday, 11 November to Tuesday, 30 November – 19 days
As always, please let me know if you have technical difficulties or think you spot an error. No matter how many times they are proof-read, something always gets through!
